The Children’s Center came into my life at a time when I needed help the most. As a full-time student and mother of 4, I needed reliable care for my children while I was in class and studying.
Jill at the front desk went above and beyond to make it happen, ensuring my children had a safe and nurturing place to be. When I first toured the center, Denise welcomed me with warmth, instantly putting me at ease about leaving my one-year-old in the care of strangers. The moment I stepped into Barbara’s classroom, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and care. She comforted me when I needed it most and has loved my daughter so deeply. The experience my daughter has had so far has been unforgettable, and seeing how much she has grown in just a few months is something that will impact her for a lifetime.
My older son, who is in preschool 4, absolutely loves going to school—even begging to go on the weekends! His teachers, Amanda and Mariya, have created such a positive and engaging environment for him, and his developmental progress has been incredible.
As an OCC student majoring in Early Childhood Development, I had the opportunity to take classes that required volunteer hours at a school site. Choosing the OCC Children’s Center was an easy decision because I knew the quality of the teachers who would be mentoring me. Peggy, Heather, and Emily guided me throughout the semester, teaching me invaluable lessons that have shaped my understanding of early childhood education.
I truly cannot imagine the next four years without this school. The support, love, and education my family and I have received from the OCC Children’s Center have made an impact that will last a lifetime.
